CO2 based Botanical Extractions occur at pressures that range from 1,000-psi to 10,000-psi. These pressures deserve respect during operation and construction of the equipment. One key point that must be paid attention to during construction is maintaining non-isolatable gauges everywhere throughout the system.
Non-isolatable gauges means that there is nowhere in the system that an operator could close a valve or otherwise lock in pressure without a gauge that warns them that a section of plumbing is still under pressure. When evaluating a system or operating your existing system, ensure that it was designed and built using non-isolatable gauges.
